Weather Update: According to IMD, there is a chance of mild to moderate rain in several parts of Chennai, along with thunderstorms and lightning. In Mumbai, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected throughout the day, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Goa is under a "red alert" from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), which stated that isolated locations with high surface winds could see extremely heavy rainfall and heavy to very heavy rainfall in a few locations. Madhya Pradesh is still experiencing a period of intense rain, with Bhopal among the areas that have had significant rainfall.

According to the IMD, there will likely be isolated areas of extremely high rainfall in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, as well as heavy to very heavy rainfall overall.
